Loose White Shirts are Smexy! 역시 정답은 루즈 하얀 셔츠다!

Ok let me tell you an awesome quote that I just made a few minutes ago. 

"Shirts are magic wands for a man." 

Bam!

이 문장은 아까 몇 분 전에 만들었는데 멋있는 것 같아서 말씀 드릴께요.

"남자는 셔츠 입어야 제맛!"

멋있죠? 아 안 멋있어요? 죄송합나다.

Men may look shabby with a t-shirt on, but shirts won't make a mistake on us. We always can count on them since they are designed to magically make us look dapper, neat and handsome. 

We're lucky because we only need simple things like wearing shirts, shaved facial hair and brushed teeth to look completely different (in a good way of course). 

But today I will focus only on the white shirts; the loose one to be precise. We usually wear white shirts with tuxedos, but they actually can make awesome summer outfits too!

아무튼 남자는 셔츠가 제일 잘 어울린다고 생각해요! 남자가 티셔츠 입으면 뭔가 깔끔하지 않은 느낌이 들 수도 있겠지만 셔츠는 누구나 입어도 멋있고 깔끔해 보입니다. 역시 남자는 셔츠 입는 거 또는  면도하는 거 또는 양치하는 거, 이렇게 사소하고 간단한 것들만 신경 쓰면 완전히 달라 보일 수 있어요.

하지만 저는 오늘 그런 거 말고 루즈 하얀 셔츠에 대해서 쓸께요. 우리 보통 하얀 셔츠는 정장에 입죠? 하지만 하얀 셔츠는 아주 멋있는 여름 옷도 될 수 있어요!

Bright colors such as yellow and red are always trending when it comes to summer outfits since they look as cheerful as the summer itself. However in contrast to the bright colors, white-colored outfits give more laid-back, chill and cool appearance to the people wearing them. The white color itself has the mysterious power to calm the eyes of the observer. Back to the Elementary School's Science, white is the best reflector of heat, so wearing white in summer is the wisest choice. 

보통 여름이면 유행에 타는 옷은 바로 밝은 옷이에요. 근데 하얀 옷은 밝은 옷과 달리 약간 편해 보이고 시원해 보여요. 보는 사람도 그렇고 입는 사람도 마찬가지예요. 우리 초등학교때 하얀색이 열을 제일 잘 반향하는 색깔이라는 거 기억하시죠? 그래서 덥고 무더운 여름땐 열을 흡수하지 않는 하얀 옷을 입는게 제일 똑똑한 선택이라고 생각해요.

Slim-fit shirts are very popular back then. I was a fan of them too! However starting summer this year, loose shirts are taking over the fashion throne. People might think that loose clothes might look shabby on them, but in the case of loose shirts, it's a whole new thing. They give the wearer a very comfy look, and of course they're extremely comfy since the ventilation is dreamy when it comes to loose clothes. 

예전에는 몸에 딱 맞는 셔츠가 유행이지만 올해부터는 루즈셔츠가 유행됐어요. 이런 스타일이 멋있을 뿐만 아니라 아주 편안하고 시원해요!

I have this white loose shirt used to be my school uniform. It's just a cheap and typical school uniform. The name of the brand is Canggih (all Malaysians know this school uniform brand). I didn't wear it for ages but surprisingly, it's still in a tip top condition. So when the loose shirt trend becomes popular this year, I recycled the old school uniform, but with a twist of styling it of course. I matched the shirt with a pair of brown cotton trousers and a basic tee, and I purposely buttoned only the first button of the shirt to make it looks dope.

저는 옛날의 교복이 아직 있는데 그 교복이 루즈셔츠라서 다시 입었어요 ㅋㅋㅋ 제대로 사고 싶은데 돈이 없어가지구...이 사진들에  나온 셔츠는 바로 그 교복입니당~

Forget cotton, I'm wearing foil. 난 호일 입는다!

I'm always a fan of movies about the future. They're freaking good! Very interesting and imaginative. Among the first futuristic movies that I watched (and very addicted to) are "Back to The Future" and "Zenon, Girl of The 21st Century". I've always wondered whether what the future looks like in the movies will become a reality. And guess what? Even though there are no flying cars yet, at least the fashion in the movies is becoming a reality! The movies predicted that the clothes of the future will be super shiny and metallic, as you can see in the picture below:

저는 미래적인 영화를 진짜 좋아해요. 왜냐하면 그런 영화들은 아주 재미있고 제가 상상하게 만드니까요. 우리 엄마가 항상 말하셨는데 상상을 많이 하면 머리가 좋아질 수 있대요. 저는 그 말이 맞는지 틀리는지 모르겠지만 제 머리가 진짜 좋아진 것 같아요! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 학교 가서 그런가? ㅋㅋㅋ 아무튼, 그 영화들 중에서 제가 처음으로 본 미래적인 영화는 바로 미국 영화인 "Back to The Future"랑 "Zenon, Girl of The 21st Century"입니다. 제가 영어 연습할려고 초등학교때 그 영화들을 봤는데 겁나 재미있는 영화들이에요. 여러분도 시간 나면 꼭 보세요! ㅎㅎㅎ 저는 그런 미래적인 영화들을 볼때 마다 항상 궁금해요, 우리 미래의 모습이 진짜 그렇게 될지....근데 날아가는 자동차는 아직 없지만 (아직 없겠죠?ㅋㅋ), 패션은 점점 그 영화들 속의 패션을 따라하고 있어요! 영화에는 미래 사람들이 이렇게 밝고 블링블링하고 호일 같은 옷을 입는다고 해요.

Well, the prediction wasn't wrong at all! Lately, the designers got tired with the traditional and old school cottons and silks, so they're getting their hands and scissors on new materials such as polyesters and even plastics! For example, in the Burberry's Spring Fashion Show for the Milan S/S Fashion Week 2013, Christopher Bailey made his handsome male models strode out on the runway with bright metallic shirts. While in Asia, this futuristic style came in when the S=YZ S/S 2014 Collection was introduced during Seoul Fashion Week. 

믿기 힘들겠지만 옛날에 그 영화 감독님들의 예측은 맞았어요! 요즘은 디자이너들이 보통의 소재가 지겨워했고 이제부터는 아주 특이한 소재들을 사용하기 시작했어요. 폴리에스테르도 썼고 플라스틱마저 쓰고 있대요! 대박이죠? 예를 들면 2013년 봄여름 밀란 패션위크의 바바리 패션쇼에는 크리스토퍼 베일리라는 디자이너가 호일 셔츠를 내놓으셨어요. 그리고 아시아에는 이런 스타일이 지난 2014년 서울 패션위크의 S=YZ S/S 2014 Collection에 볼 수 있어요. 걸그룹 포미닛도 이번에 새로 나온 "오늘 뭐 해"라는 곡의 프로모션 할때 S=YZ의 옷들을 많이 입어요. 

I've also tried this amazing style and although it looked a bit ridiculous for the first time, but it was definitely worth trying for because it looked intoxicatingly fancy, futuristic and stylish. Well, it's okay to wear ridiculously since that's how fashion works. For the first time, it may looks ridiculous and weird but once lots of people start wearing the clothes, it'll become a trend. And it always feels damn good to be a trend setter.

저도 이런 옷을 입어봤는데 처음에는 약간 이상했지만 입을수록 아주 멋있고 미래적이고 매력적인 옷인 것 같아요! ㅎㅎㅎ 패션은 원래 이래서 가끔 이상한 옷을 입어봐도 돼요. 처음에는 이상해 보이겠지만 사람들이 입기 시작하면 트랜드가 되는 거죠. 영어에는 "트랜드세터"라는 유명한 말이 있는데 트랜드를 처음으로 시작하는 사람이라는 뜻이에요. 저도 언젠가 트랜드세터가 됐으면 좋겠어요!ㅎㅎㅎ

                        

My top is from Rexism Rememberclick (oh and I'm so in love with all the clothes from the brand!). I thought it'll be super hot wearing the polyester top in the summer, but it wasn't too bad since it's super flimsy plus it fits perfectly on my body. The black top has a pair of magnificent metallic gold sleeves complete with a number of star-shaped studs around the roundneck line. This style looks chic and fancy during the day and very glamorous during the night. Being in it made me realize that I'm actually in the future that I imagined during my childhood!

제 티셔츠는 리멤버클릭의 제품이고요 인터넷에서 샀어요. 이 브랜드는 제가 제일 좋아하는 브랜드입니다. 쉽게 말하자면 이 브랜드의 옷들은 다 이뻐요! 티셔츠도 이쁘고 바지도 이쁘고 가방도 이뻐요. 저는 처음에 이 옷을 여름에 입으면 더워 죽겠다 라고 생각했는데 입어보니까 아주 얇아서 별로 안 덥더라고요. 가죽느낌의 원단소재와 골드칼라의 호일 소매디테일이 매력적인 옷이고요 라운드넥 라인에 들어간 스터드로 포인트를 줬으며 골드칼라의 소매배색처리로 어느곳에든 쉽게 패션너벌한 코디가 가능한 옷이에요! 이런 옷을 입을때 마다 제가 어렸을때 꿈꾸던 미래에 살고 있는 것 같아요.

Don't wear your cap properly! 모자는 돌려서 써야 제맛!

Things are lame if they're done properly, trust me. I've tried eating properly once and it was an awful torture. The same goes for fashion! Fashion is about not wearing the clothes properly. They might look weird at first, but once lots of people start wearing them, it becomes a trend. And that's how a fashion world rotates!

모든 것들은 제대로 하면 재미없다고 생각해요. 저는 제대로 살려고 건강한 음식만 골라서 먹어본 적이 있었는데 지옥 맛이에요 ㅠㅠ. 패션도 마찬가지예요! 패션은 원래 옷을 제대로 안 입는 것이에요.  처음엔 이상하겠지만 사람들이 많이 입으면 유행이 되는 거죠. 패션의 세상은 그렇게 움직여요. 

Speaking about not wearing things properly, I'm excited to announce that the style of wearing a cap backwards is in the trend again! (Or at least here in South Korea). The style was quite popular back in the Backstreet Boys' days and after that people tends to wear their caps properly until now. I used to wear my caps properly like this,

요즘 유행에 타는 건 모자를 제대로 안 쓰는 거죠. 한국에 있는 사람들은 이제 거의 다 이렇게 모자를 돌려서 써요. 이런 스타일은 옛날에 힙합이 처음으로 들어왔을때 유명했는데 그 후에 잠깐 사라졌다가 이제 다시 유명해졌죠. 저는 원래 이렇게 제대로 쓰고 다녔는데,

but now I'm throwing away some of my formality and strictness in following all the rules. I'm going bad LOL. Let it go, Fikri.

이제는 레리꼬! 레리꼬! 부르면서 제대로 안 쓰고 모든 것들도 제 마음대로 실컷 하기로 했어요! ㅎㅎㅎ

The Magic of A Black Cardigan. 까만색 카디건의 마법.

My favorite fashion item is my one and only (yes, I literally have only one) BLACK CARDIGAN. Can we have a moment of silence to appreciate the real genius who invented cardigans? Anyone who invented this awesome clothing deserves all of my applause, bows and everything! Cardigans, especially the black ones are so versatile to the point that they matches with almost all clothing without looking awkward at all! Cardigan is in the same species with jackets and coats, but it wins big time. For example, coats sometimes only match perfectly with shirts or light jumpers, and jackets are always being matched with tees. However, cardigans look good on both shirts or tees. Since a black cardigan is a humble type type of clothing ( I mean, it doesn't look too much nor too fancy) yet very stylish, it is the perfect answer for the people who doesn't like to be too fancy nor considered overdressed. It also has the magical ability to tone down a lil' bit the fanciness (?) of the inner clothing that you're wearing. 

제가 제일 좋아하는 패션 아이템 1위는 바로 까만 카디건입니다. 카디건을 처음으로 만드신 분이 진짜 천재라고 생각해요! 아니, 어떻게 이런 좋은 옷을 만들 수 있는지 너무 신기해요. 너무 감사해서 미친듯이 박수를 쳐드리고 싶어요. 카디건, 특히 까만 거는 모든 옷들과 같이 입어도 너무 잘 어울리고 하나도 안 어색해요. 카디건은 외투의 많은 종류들 중에 제일 실용적인 외투라고 생각해요! 왜냐하면 코트는 항상 셔츠와 제일 잘 어울리고 자켓은 가끔 티셔츠말고 셔츠에 입으면 이상하게 나올 수도 있기 때문이죠. 까만 카디건은 투머치하는 옷이 아니면서도 늘 유행에 맞는 옷이라서 너무 과하게 입기 싫은 사람들한테 필수 아이템이에요. 또한 우리가 입고 있는 옷이 약간 투머치하다고 생각하면 이 까만 카디건으로 적절하고 멋있게 덮일 수 있어요. 

 

 

As you can see, I used my black cardigan to tone down the sleeveless H&M shirt that I wore. Back to its real function, a cardigan can keep you warm and it's not too thick to be used during summer too!

보시다시피 저는 그 소매 없는 H&M 셔츠가 투머치인 것 같아서 제 마법 까만 카디건으로 덮였어요. 그리고 카디건의 원래 기능은 몸을 따뜻하게 해서 추울때 입으면 최고죠! 너무 뚜겁지도 않아서 여름에도 입을 수 있어요.

My black cardigan is from BERSHKA and it costs about only 30,000KRW if I'm not mistaken ( I bought it during a sale 2 years ago). It's super cozy and the quality is dreamy! I used and washed it a lot but the color never fades and the size never looses. It always fits me perfectly. DON'T put your cardigan in the dryer machine, it'll tear your lovely cardigan down into pieces! I mean, the nasty gadget tear ALL clothes into pieces. I hate it. It teared my one and only cardigan too at the collar part (luckily).

제 까만 카디건은 버쉬카 제품이고요 가격은 한 3만원 정도예요 ( 2년 전에 세일때 샀어요). 진짜 편안하고 품질이 아주 대단하더라고요. 제가 자주 쓰고 빨래도 자주 하는데 색깔이 바래지 않고 사이즈도 커지지 않아요. 늘 제 몸에 딱 맞춰요 ㅎㅎㅎ 아 그리고 카디건은 절대로 건조기에 넣지 마세요! 건조기는 아주 나쁜 기계예요 ㅠㅠ 모든 옷들을 찢어요. 저도 많이 당해봤어요 ㅠㅠ.
