Brighter this time; they use plenty of warmer hues such as roseate and yellow
Warm hues for the cold days they say.
Little knows that the maple trees in my backyard are a bunch of liars
Everyone knows that even the reddest bikini can't keep you warm in October
They change the garments for another reason
The garments are actually funeral dresses
They aren't black since it's their own funeral
The skirts aren't long since it's their own funeral.
My poor maple trees in the backyard are dying
From the cold whispers of the October breeze
They decided to wear the best dress in their closet to face death
When the death pays a visit, of course the fancy dress won't ease the pain
But let the dress drops from the body they say
Because at least they'll be drop dead gorgeous in the cold deathbed.
