Willy Wonka Is Back! 윌리웡카 돌아왔다!

여러분! 혹시 윌리웡카와 초콜릿 공장이라는 영화를 보셨나요? 그 1971년에 나온 영화가 (2005년에 다시 새롭게 나왔지만) 제 어린 시절한테 아주 큰 의미를 가졌어요. 저는 그런 픽션 영화를 늘 좋아하지만 이 영화가 최고인 것 같아요! 물론 그 영화에 나온 모든 초콜릿들이 저를 미친듯이 끌려 들어가게 만들었지만 윌리웡카가 입은 것들에도 끌렸어요. 역시 저는 어렸을때부터 이상한 거 좋아하네요 ㅋㅋㅋ 그때 패피 리틀 피끄리라고 불렀어야 되는데....아무튼 저는 지금까지 윌리웡카의 옷장을 늘 부럽고 훔치고 싶어요. 자세히 보시면 윌리웡카 패피님(?)의 옷들이 이상하지만 항상 화려하고 창의적이에요. 뭐 이상한 건 원래 패션 세상은 이상해요! ㅋㅋㅋ  그래서 이번에는 저도 윌리웡카처럼 차려입기 도전!해봤습니다. 윌리웡카 패피님의 멋 수준까지는 아직 멀었지만 ㅋㅋㅋ

Of The First Blizzard And My Homeless Look. 첫눈과 노숙자룩.

So this post isn't about decent clothes and stuff, this post is about the first blizzard we experienced last night! It's my fourth winter in South Korea but the excitement for the first snow remains the same throughout the years. The same thing happened last night. When I saw huge white darlings dancing on my window, falling on the backyard of the boys' dorm, I literally lost my mind! Filled with pink butterflies and rainbows, I grabbed my windbreaker and called my housemates to go outside. Well, it's already 12.30 am so of course I'm pulling off the homeless look at that time; over-sized hoodies and gym pants.  I live in Suwon, the lower part of Seoul and we receive heavier snowfalls every year. So I wasn't surprised at all when I saw my campus was completely buried in deep snow the moment I went out from the dorm. I hit the jackpot when I saw Saeed Owairan came out from the elevator too. High quality photos yay!

이번 글은 이쁜 옷에 대한 글이 아니라 어젯밤의첫눈에 대한 글입니다. 저는 한국에 온 지 거의 4년 됐는데 첫눈이 내릴때마다 변함없이 늘 설레고 행복해요. 어젯밤에도 첫눈이 막 내릴때 저는 10살 아이처럼 신났어요! ㅎㅎ 그때는 12시 반이라서 완전 노숙자처럼 생겼는데 멋을 포기하고 친구랑 그냥 나갔어요. 저는 경기도 수원에 살아서 눈이 장난 아니었어요. 우리 학교가 이제 다시 적설로 갇혔네요! ㅎㅎㅎ

Winter In Black And White. 흑백 겨울.

The long days are gone
The warm Sun soaked in a tub of rain is gone

Covered with the white snow.

SWAG is For Boys, CLASS is For Men. 다 큰 남자는 정장을 입는다.

Call me a nerd, but I'm extremely fond of formal attires. Tucked in shirts, pressed slacks, and shiny leather shoes have a fancy special place in my heart. Even in summer, I feel like a freaking shabby homeless if I only wear T-shirts and jeans. Summer is quite a torture here in South Korea, but shirts are still my definite choice (even though I need to find the air-conditioned places every 10 minutes I walk). So when there's any occasion that requires me to dress up formally, I'm the happiest NAMJA in the world.

저는 모범생 스타일도 아닌데 정장을 엄청 좋아해요. 이쁜 가죽 구두랑 깔끔하게 잘 다려된 와이셔츠랑 바지는 사랑입니다. 무더운 여름에는 제가 정장 안 입어도 셔츠를 진짜 선호해요. 그냥 티셔츠랑 청바지를 입으면 뭔가 엉망한 느낌이 나더라고요. 물론 여름엔 셔츠를 입으면 에어컨이 항상 필요하겠지만..ㅋㅋㅋ 그래서 정장을 차려입어야되는 행사가 있으면 제가 이 세상에서 제일 행복한 남자죠. "역시 남자는 정장이지~"라는 말을 많이 들어 보시겠죠?

Last Sunday, the Malaysian Students' Association in South Korea held a Grand Annual Dinner in Grand Hyatt Seoul. I'm a fan of this occasion and to be honest, I'm looking forward to attend this glamorous occasion EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Not only because I can dress up formally for the dinner, but I can also observe others' garments (LOL I know I'm so nosy I just can't...), eat the heavenly smoked salmons, and meet my fellow Malaysian friends from other universities. They said that our clothes have the mysterious power to change our personality. Well, after attending this occasion for continuous 4 years, I couldn't agree more with that statement. Even the most introvert boys can pull off the model pose in front of the camera when they have their pressed shirts and bow-ties on.

지난 일요일에 한국에 있는 말레이시아 학생회가 그랜드하야트에서 Grand Annual Dinner라는 행사를 했어요. 이 큰 행사는 매년 있는데 한국에 있는 모든 말레이시아 유학생들이 참여를 해요. 저는 이 행사를 너무 좋아해서 매년 기대합니다. 왜냐하면 이 행사때 정장도 차려 입을 수 있고 제가 좋아하는 생연어도 마음컷 먹을 수 있고 남의 옷도 관찰(?)할 수 있어요 ㅎㅎㅎ. 그리고 옷은 사람을 만들다는 말이 있는데 이 행사에 4년동안 계속 가보니까 이 말을 새삼스럽게 느꼈어요. 왜냐하면 이 행사때 우리의 제일 소심한 친구마저 정장을 딱 차려입으면 카메라 앞에서 막 모델 포즈를 하더라고요 ㅋㅋㅋ.

For the dinner, I decided to wear a pair of checkered slacks, a white shirt, a brown blazer, a pair of brown leather shoes, a crystal accessory to replace the necktie, and a pair of cute pumpkin-colored socks. Enjoy the photos!

저는 이 행사때 체크무늬 바지랑 하얀 셔츠랑 갈색 코트를 입었고 갈색 가죽 구두에 호박색깔 양말도 신었어요. 그리고 넥타이 대신에 저는 악세서리를 했어요.
